Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid Preferred — Remote Considered within California)
Type: Full-Time Preferred / Part-Time Considered
Pay: $20–$25 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role


We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about optical to join our growing team as a Customer Service & Optical Success Lead.


You’ll work directly with our founder and small in-house team, helping customers upgrade their favorite sunglasses with world-class Tajima lenses. This is a great opportunity for an optical student, recent graduate, or experienced optician looking for a new opportunity in a modern, tech-driven environment.




Responsibilities




  • Manage customer communication via email, phone, and chat.




  • Review orders for accuracy (Rx, PD, lens type, seg height, etc.).




  • Coordinate with our lab and shipping team to ensure smooth order flow.




  • Provide friendly, professional support to customers throughout the process.




  • Contribute ideas to improve systems and customer experience as we grow.






Qualifications




  • Optical program student, graduate, or experienced optical professional.




  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.




  • Attention to detail and comfort reviewing prescription data.




  • Tech-comfortable (Shopify, Airtable, Help Scout experience a plus).




  • Located in California; Bay Area hybrid preferred.
